Shaun Brown was born in Chicago, Ill, and raised there until he was 10 years old. He then moved to Mississippi to finish out the rest of his adolescence. Now residing in the great city of New York, he has been blazing a path for himself among some of the greatest entertainers in the world.

 

It was pretty obvious that Shaun was born to entertain. Not only because he coincidentally shares the same birthday as the king of pop, Micheal Jackson, but because he has been entertaining since before he could remember. He went on to study music at the highly prestigious Breklee College of Music where Breklee alumni have won 294 Grammy’s, 95 Latin Grammy’s, 19 Emmy’s, 5 Tony’s and 5 Academy Awards. Shaun has had the opportunity to work with big names like Bruno Mars, Take 6, R. Kelly, and the Gap Band just to name a few.

 

Shaun believes that the true gift in music is in the way that it unveils the interconnectedness of us all. The way that it shows us that we are more alike than we are different. In an interview with Munir Bello Abukabar, writer of the novel “The Break-Up Recipe,” Shaun said , “I guess I’ve always known that my higher purpose is connected to music. It’s always felt like it is woven into my being.”
